Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Students:
Let me take this opportunity to congratulate you on successfully completing the 2007-2008 academic year. Together we faced and overcame many challenges. For that reason we are stronger, wiser and more focused on our mission:
To prepare our students to attend and compete at the best colleges and universities in the nation.
I would especially like to commend the parents for your dedication and commitment. We know parental involvement is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement and we hope you continue to be a presence.
I am extremely excited about the 2008-2009 academic year. We are now located at our permanent site and we look forward to working with parents and community members to develop the most powerful educational experiences for our students.
The bar has been raised this year; FDAHS will continue to strive for excellence and set the highest standards and expectations for all members of our professional learning community. Our commitment to provide rigorous and relevant curriculum, and to develop self-directed, life-long learners has been renewed.
On behalf of the entire Frederick Douglass Academy High School family, we would like to thank you for your support and we look forward to a tremendous academic year.
